Årstider
 
Arbeidet med å utforme et kunstnerisk konsept om årstider til Opus XVIs sengegavler er inspirert av Britt og Alexanders personligheter som skinner igjennom rommenes varme atmosfære, der nærhet til alle detaljer samlet skaper en opplevelse.
 
På den nordlige halvkule er årstidene inndelt i vår, sommer, høst og vinter. Mengden av lys, eller mangelen om du vil, er den viktigste faktoren for et skille mellom årstidene ettersom jorden dreier med en helning rundt solen i en elliptisk sirkel.
 
Årstidene består av fire horisontale paneler som representerer et landskap. Panelenes plassering varierer for hver årstid, og en messingstang skaper en horisont som indikerer mengden av lys betegnende for årstiden.
Mitt ønske har vært at sengegavlene gjennom rytme, farge og teksturer skal underbygge årstidenes og rommenes stemning.

Seasons
The task to create an artistic concept about the seasons for Opus XVIs headboards is inspired by Britt and Alexander’s personalities which shines through the rooms warm atmosphere, where their closeness to details is key to making the rooms become an experience in it self.
In the northern hemisphere seasons are divided into spring, summer, autumn and winter. The amount of light, or the lack of it if you prefer, is the most important differentiation of the seasons. This is caused by the Earths axis of rotation with a slight tilting in an elliptic circle orbiting the Sun.
Seasons are made by four horizontal panels that represent a landscape. The placement of the panels varies for each season, and a brass pole creates a horizon indicating the amount of light significant for the season.
My aim has been that the headboards, through variations in rhythm, colour and textures should underpin the atmosphere of the seasons and the rooms.
